Dealing with Anxiety, PTSD or just dealing with a hard year?
Come write it out with us in this three month workshop series.
Science confirms that translating events into language can affect the brain physically. Writing has been shown to improve overall heart health, brain health and the healing of physical wounds. Expressive writing reduces intrusive thoughts about negative events and improves working memory. Writing has even been found to reduce anxiety and depression, and increase the ability to find a job.
In this 6 session workshop series, essayist and professor Kathleen Volk Miller will introduce the science and practice of writing toward psychological healing. Each session includes a warm-up writing exercise, the introduction of a new healing-through-writing tool, feedback on how each individual is proceeding in their own writing process, and at-home exercises to encourage the practice.
$90 for the full access to all sessions.
$15 for an individual session.
