KATE DELANY is the author of two books of poetry – Reading Darwin (Poets Corner Press) and Ditching (Aldrich Press). Her fiction and verse have appeared in magazines and journals, such as Art Times, Barrelhouse, Jabberwock Review, Room, and Poetry Quarterly. She holds an MA in English from Rutgers-Camden and a BA in English and in Art History from Chestnut Hill College. She lives in Collingswood, NJ.
THERÉSE HALSCHEID’s latest poetry collection Frozen Latitudes (Press 53) received an Eric Hoffer Book Award. Other collections include Uncommon Geography, Without Home, Powertalk,and a Greatest Hits chapbook award by Pudding House Publications. Her poetry and essays have appeared in such magazines as Gettysburg Review, Tampa Review, Sou’wester, and Crab Orchard. Recent contest awards include Welcome Table Press’s Essaying the Body contest.For more than two decades she has lived as an itinerant writer by way of house-sitting. Simplicity connects her to the natural world and has often been the focus of her work. Her photography has appeared in juried shows and chronicles her nomadic lifestyle. She teaches online for Atlantic Cape Community College and elsewhere, and has taught in remote locales such as an Eskimo village in northern Alaska, and the Ural Mountains of Russia.
CASSIE MACDONALD is the Hearthkeeper since 2008 of Brigid's House in Camden, a home for writers, peacemakers and creatives of all kinds. She hosts a twice-monthly generative writing circle, organizes readings and workshops, and as founder of the Poetry Liberation Front, has been the instigator of more than twenty poetry murals in the Waterfront South neighborhood. The Brigid's House writers created two art and poetry collaborative books with poet/artist Peter Kinney: Meet Me at the Birthbath and Fire in the Birdbath. She has been a featured reader at Fergie's Pub, Hopkins House, Gallery Eleven One and Inkwood Books. Cassie is also the Program Coordinator at Camden FireWorks, South Camden's visual art destination, housed in a former historic Engine 3 firehouse.
